LINCOLN, Neb. -- The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will conduct a firearm education apprentice volunteer instructor training class in Grand Island on Nov. 8, according to Nebraska Hunter Education Coordinator Mike Streeter.

Streeter said apprentice instructor class is required for those interested in becoming a volunteer hunter education instructor.

In Nebraska, state law requires anyone 12 years or older, born on or after Jan. 1, 1977, to have successfully completed a state-certified hunter education course prior to hunting with a firearm.


Streeter said the firearm education apprentice volunteer instructor training class will be 6-9 p.m. at the Nebraska State Patrol Troop C Office, 3431 West Old Potash Highway.
